Has there been someone that has told you that women can’t do anything? Well that happened to my Mom when she was in highschool. This occurred when she was in grade 12. She had a math teacher who was older and was very against women’s rights.
One day her teacher said in front of the whole class; “Women can’t do anything when they are older”. My mom said that all the girls in her class barely passed or failed the course while all the guys got higher grades. This was back in the late 80’s early 90’s but that is still no excuse to treat women like that. Her teacher said the same thing and insulted all the girls in her class. Eventually she went to see her guidance counselor and talked to him about switching into a different class but he said to just deal with the teacher. So he basically didn’t really care about what was going on and didn’t care what my Mom wanted to do with her life. She still passed the class but just barely. She ended up going to Conestoga College and did really well in a math course and got 100%. So what does that tell you? Her grade 12 math teacher was against women in getting an education and having a job. Women should be treated equally in every way, shape or form and should be respected for who they are.

By: Anderson Orlik As you may know by now, there is so much drama that’s happening on social media, but how much of it is really true. You see this is the problem these days. One wrong post or comment or whatever it is can have a huge backlash on you. This is the issue today with social media, everyone judges you by what they only see, but they don’t know the whole story or what’s really going on behind the scenes. There are also people creating videos
First off, is everything you watch online really true? No it’s not but you want to believe everything is true. Fact is, people are afraid of knowing or accepting the truth because they want to believe what they see is reality. For example take a look at Jake Paul, he is a famous Youtuber who has millions of followers. He creates videos that are entertaining but at the same time almost all of the things that he does in his vlogs are fake. An example of that is he has a wife which was all a hoax and Jake even admitted that “We were never even dating at all” http://www.j-14.com/posts/jake-paul-erika-costell-dating-141526. He was just doing it for the views, the likes, subscribers and the attention so he could become even more famous than what he is right now. Another thing about Jake is fans think he’s a good person but he has proven that otherwise when back in the summer, news reporters showed up at his house and Jake came out with a couple people trailing behind him and he started insulting one of the reporters because of the shoes that he wore. So basically what I said here shows that what you see can be deceiving and to not believe everything you see. Secondly, is everything you see on tv real? No it’s not. There are only a handful of shows on channels that are somewhat real. For example take a look at the Food Network channel, some of the shows such as Iron Chef America and Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. These shows are real as they are recorded on the go but are released in a couple of weeks. There are also some shows that are semi-fake such as Chopped. With Chopped, the producers don’t just bring in random chefs, they interview every single contestant by asking several personal questions and sometimes will make up some parts of contestants backstories to make it seem more realistic. An example of that is in a Chopped Junior episode, the producers played up a story of a girl’s “divorced parents despite the fact that it happened when she was a toddler and she and her mother said it had no ill effects on her life.” http://www.mashed.com/32044/reasons-chopped-totally-fake/. So to conclude on this, what you see on social media and TV is not all real as you may now realize that. Now think on this when you watch TV or any Youtube videos and ask yourself if what you are watching is reality or not. |
